At The Vervain Collective, we believe tending to people and tending to plants aren’t all that different. With care, presence, and the right environment, both can flourish. Our apothecary in Boise is a place where herbs, community, and conversation meet — and right now, we’re looking for new Shop Stewards to join our team.

What’s a Shop Steward?

Think of a Shop Steward as the welcoming face of Vervain. They’re the ones who:

• Greet customers with warmth and curiosity.

• Share their knowledge (and love) of herbs, teas, tinctures, and remedies.

• Keep our shelves stocked and beautiful.

• Support classes, workshops, and community events.

• Help make sure the space feels just as magical as the medicine inside.

In short: Shop Stewards are the heart of our daily shop experience.

Who We’re Looking For

If you’re someone who:

• Loves connecting with people and helping them feel at home.

• Has an interest (or growing curiosity!) in herbalism and natural health.

• Enjoys working in a retail or customer service environment.

• Can keep things organized and tidy even when it’s busy.

• Wants to be part of a team that values kindness, care, and community.

What You’ll Do

• Assist customers and answer herbal product questions (training provided to continue building your knowledge of plant medicine).

• Ring up purchases and keep the POS system flowing smoothly.

• Restock shelves and prepare Vervain-labeled teas, salves, and other products.

• Welcome practitioners and help with events.

• Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture.

The Details

• Location: The Vervain Collective, Boise, Idaho

• Compensation: Hourly, depending on experience

• Hours: Part-time, including some evenings and weekends
