About the event
Fight, Flight, Fatigue - How treating your adrenals may give you some relief.
Dr. Michaela Falkner, NMD
Wed Feb 23 & Wed Mar 2, 430-6pm
Your adrenal glands are often overlooked by mainstream medicine as causes of fatigue. However, even slight dysfunction can result in fatigue, insomnia, and a "wired and tired" feeling. This 2 part course first discusses the basics of adrenal physiology, symptoms of adrenal dysfunction, and effective possible treatments for adrenal dysfunction. The second section will dive deeper into possible further causes of fatigue that might be influencing your adrenal function and overall health.
Dr. Michaela Falkner graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona and completed her general medicine residency there with a focus on autoimmune disease and chronic complex illness. Dr. Falkner established her practice in the Bay Area where she specialized in nutrient injections and IVs, menopause and hormone optimization, and chronic, often underrecognized conditions such as Lyme, MCAS, and chronic fatigue & pain syndromes. Dr. Falkner’s holistic approach reflects her belief that good medicine is whole-body focused and, importantly, manageable for her patients. She supports patient autonomy by helping restore a sense of control. Her goals are to gently guide the body back to health while empowering her patients to better understand and appreciate their bodies. In addition to her passion for naturopathic medicine, Dr. Falkner spends time playing with her dogs, knitting, and cross stitching.
